Alternative energy.

Recently, Rokkasho gave up for inviting ITER and conceded to Cadarache.

So this is the review and further information about it.

The energy crisis is in a desperate situation.
You know the countries like Brazil, Russia, India, China and many more developing countries needs more energy for their development.
But the petroleum is DEFINITELY INSUFFICIENT for it.

It is said that oils will be exhausted by 2040, coals by 2070 and natural gases by 2100.
Mankind must look for alternative source of energy, even just to maintain our civilization.

Yeah, we have Nuclear Fission.
People says it creates a lot of power with low cost.
Well, that's one.
But it is in a political headwind, as you know.

Besides, it is not actually generating in low cost,
if we think of disposal of nuclear wastes.
(I personally don't like the idea of burying nuclear wastes deep down in the mountains, But mankind had never thought of any better solution for it.)

Is Fusion safer than Fission?
Well, one thing is that there's such thing as "melt-down" in Fission, but not in Fusion.
You know Threemile Island or Chernobyl, right? ^_^

Technologically,
When there's a crack in a container of both,
Fission begins to spread neutron and radiation from the crack.
Fusion rapidly cools down because of the outside temperature, and stops generating, since Fusion requires Hydro gens and Helium's to be in a state of "plasma".

Which do you think is safer?

Anyway,
human error exists in anywhere,
so there's no absolute safety.
(H2 - H3 Fusion generates hundreds times of neutron than Fission.)

How about Solar Power? Windmill? Bio-mass?
I just wish that they will be spread enough to cover the energy demand which currently petroleum supplies.

You can read "Ecology Business" in my post in my blog, if you haven't read yet. ^_^

Nevertheless,
Be kind to our Earth first, before our desires.
I wish that a century from now, Earth is still a beautiful planet.
